Copper
Description
Copper ore generates in large veins throughout the Overworld, appearing as normal copper ore in stone and deepslate copper ore below Y0. When mined, it drops raw copper which must be smelted into ingots. A unique feature of copper is its oxidation - copper blocks gradually turn from orange to green over time. Copper veins often generate alongside iron ore and are particularly common near dripstone caves. The ore can appear in massive veins of up to 18 blocks, making it one of the largest natural ore formations in the game.
How to Find
Copper ore generates between Y-levels 95 and -16, with peak distribution around Y-level 48. Found in large veins of up to 18 blocks, often near dripstone caves. Any pickaxe can mine copper ore. Raw copper must be smelted into ingots. Fortune enchantment increases raw copper drops.
